Still wondering why @uklabour.bsky.social are so hell bent on making the poor poorer .. #BenefitsBill .. they could save more money by simply ordering #HMRC to go after #Phoenixism & other tax dodging schemes.

The seeming two tier condescensions to the benefits bill I feel aren’t worth the paper they’re not even written on

Not all countries had to contend with the profound consequences - on trust, hope, and myriad other contributors to good health - of #Partygate. Could a sense of pathological betrayal make recovery from Covid/Long Covid sometimes beyond reach?

MPs
Vote against I feel:
Distinct moral duty
Vote for I feel:
Complicit in harming people
Abstaining I believe:
Cowardly still complicit

It’s not the ‘benefit reform’ needed it’s seemingly a ideological & political choice

Downing Street considers U-turn on cuts to benefits for disabled people Controversial plans to cut personal independence payment (Pip) may be shelved after a tense cabinet meeting and backlash from Labour MPs

Oh no @theguardian.com , not you too. Surely you could come up with an adjective other than 'ballooning' to indicate an increasing #BenefitsBill, w/o the negative connotation? ('increasing' for example?)
