Bearcastle Blog » Beard of the Week LXXV: Two Benfords Benford [born in Mobile, Alabama, on January 30, 1941] is a professor of physics at the University of California, Irvine, where he has been a faculty member since 1971. Benford conducts research in plasma turbulence theory and experiment, and in astrophysics.

The episode of "HPI" (or "Haute Potential Intellectual") that we watched last night (I can recommend the series; I like the original French version much better than the American "High Potential") had a title that referred to "Benford's Law".
