Bessemer Man Arrested and Charged with Capital Murder Bessemer, AL (BuzzReport) - A tragic incident unfolded in Bessemer, Alabama, on July 6, 2025, when a domestic dispute turned deadly. Gumero Olvera Castro, 33, was shot and killed by his brother-in-law, Luis Rey Guerro Martinez, 35, at their residence in the 800 block of Willow Bend Lane.
