my betrayal list - my autonomic and central nervous systems - my joint laxity - the us healthcare system - hardcover books - non-floppy paperbacks - the addictive-by-design nature of my phone and social media apps keeping me from feeling present, and also distracting me from my book - the never-ending nature of laundry - drivers who don't know how to zipper and so they slow down traffic by attempting to merge too soon - conservatives banning queer children's and ya books from libraries when those books can save lives - people who want to "keep politics out of the book space" as if the act of reading isn't inherently political - the fact that this trend started because of a kanye tweet (as far as I can tell), and so participating makes me feel weird (and yet I'm doing it anyway)
