I was hoping to share a “1 week post-op” video today that I filmed yesterday, but apparently I verticaled too close to the sun (by which I mean I was standing/sitting upright for too long, which resulted in me being sore last night because your abs do a lot of work to help keep you vertical and I just had mine sliced into a week ago lol) and am taking today to rest instead. Just know that a “1 week post-op” video is coming, but it’s gonna be a few days past my actual 1-week point because ow. 😂 Also to be clear, I’m totally fine. I thought I was taking it easy yesterday, but apparently I need to take it a little easier. Today has been much better because I’ve been listening to my body and resting more. ✌️ P.S., thank you all SO MUCH for your well wishes and for sharing your stories. Y’all make me really glad that I decided to share this part of my life with you, and I’m glad that my story is sparking discussions about reproductive health. 🥹❤️

Today marks 10 years since my bilateral salpingectomy! 🎉

Bisalp was the first step in coming home to myself. It allowed me to be fully present in my body for the first time and while the process of finding a surgeon was infuriating & dehumanizing it was the best decision I’ve ever made.

So I just got a bilateral salpingectomy yesterday (yay permanent birth control! Yay fairly easy recovery so far!) and today is pi day. So like..........I gotta have my partners go out and get me some kind of cream pie for the bit, right? #bisalp #piday
