Last week Campbell University competed at the 2019 #BigSouthOTF Championships. Check out the photos I captured over the three-day meet.
Campbell field events are currently loaded up at the #BigSouthOTF Championships:
Caitlyn Vester, Patience Marshall and Jenna Denkert are competing in the women’s hammer throw...
#BigSouthOTF Day 2 = ✅
Day 3 = 🤔
Another podium finish for Campbell on the men’s side as Hunter Gilbert finishes second in the #BigSouthOTF men’s 3000m Steeplechase.
Gilbert ran a huge personal best of 9:27.02. A great effort by the junior distance runner.
#ICYMI
Both Curtis Carr AND Samuel Adams advance to the #BigSouthOTF men’s 100m final tomorrow!
Carr goes in with the best qualifying time overall (10.53) and Adams runs 10.63 to finish fifth.
That feeling when you get a HUGE personal-best.
Campbell’s Nascha Blue runs 14.67 in the women’s 110mH prelims at the #BigSouthOTF Championships.
Madeline Mayfield gets things going and jumps into Day 2 of the 2019 #BigSouthOTF Championships.
The freshman is currently competing in long jump portion of the women’s heptathlon, then moving on to the javelin.
She’ll close out the day running the 800m later this afternoon.
Different edits for each but a few of my favorite shots from #BigSouthOTF Day 1.
Stay tuned for Day 2 updates.
CHAMPION
Campbell senior Lawrence Kipkoech takes the #BigSouthOTF men’s 10,000m title in a time of 32:35.76, earning the Camels 10 points!

Madeline Fitch (4:46.41)
Madelyn Rodriguez (4:46.80).
Samuel Adams runs 21.69 to earn a spot in the #BigSouthOTF men’s 200m final.
He’ll have a change to race for a podium spot on Friday.
Campbell has their first #BigSouthOTF champion: Patience Marshall!
Marshall won the women’s discus, throwing a distance of 50.21m, a personal-best for the freshman. This is also a school record.
Madeline Mayfield kicks off the 2019 #BigSouthOTF Championships for Campbell in the first event of the meet: the women’s heptathlon.
She ran 17.66 over the 100mH. Next up for the freshman is the high jump.
