Before I drill a hole in the back of it (or pry off the glass display) in order to short the button battery, does anyone have advice on how best to reawaken a dead Bafang 850C ebike display?

Prognosis ok(ish) two new sets of bearings but I do, ultimately, need two new wheels built.

Unfortunately I'm using Tannis puncture proof tyres and he couldn't source […]

The original jar of goo from the top with most of the thick top yellow layer pipetted out, making the lumpy, pale, distinct middle-lower layer clearly visible. It looks mostly light grey with a faint yellow tinge, with small black and white spots. Areas have what look like closed cracks in them, and if you look at it right, it looks like pac man if pac man's mouth was both open and full. Or, like a pie wedge has been cut but not yet removed.
