I did some amateur bicycle wrenching today. Went from a 30 tooth front chainring to 32 teeth. Lots of flat riding here…
It was a learning experience. I had to buy myself a crank puller tool.

I am super non-mechanical, but today learned to replace my chain, cassette, and disc brakes, all for the first time! I saved hundreds in labor (no guilt coz my LBS was just replaced by a Dutch conglomerate) and - big surprise - my bike still works fine!

Second impressions: they have to come off 😭

Even though they are 30/32, actual width is 34.5mm which means they're rubbing against the frame under load.

So I'll be replacing them, with Schwalbe One TLE's 28mm in a tubeless setup.

First ride impressions: even at moderately high pressures (70psi, 4.8bar) they are quite cushy and compliant. They're also not slow and make a nice buzzing sound 😎
