An added note. I was looking at getting the train to Bristol for next weekends Seaside Delight audax. However, engineering work means I can't travel up and back on the day as they've replaced the train with a bus between Weston-super-Mare and Bristol 🙄 #cycling #bikesontrains

I have arrived in Wales, next train isn't until the morning so I'm overnighting in Newport, in a Travelodge which is conveniently next to the station. Bloody train from Paddington was late, though, so I was stuck in Bristol Parkway for ages. Depart 21:30 - arrived 1am 😴 #bikesontrains #delayedtrain

So last week I was on an EMR class 222 from Derby to St Pancras. I found the bike space a bit crowded at the rear of the train, with four teenagers with BMXs using space. It shouldn't really have been an issue given they were getting off at the next stop, Long Eaton #bikesontrains #cycling #UKrail
