Once again, not our cat. This tough customer seems to be feral: he's bony with obvious ear mite issues, and only comes around sporadically. He won't let you get close. A clueless towhee grazed about 6 feet from where he was snoozing but he wasn't interested. #BirdPorch

The roses decided to be especially pretty today. I'm particularly fond of the little lavender one, which has valiantly put out a few blooms each summer for the past 20 years, in spite of being the puniest plant of the lot. #BirdPorch

Woke up to find the poor little dogwood next to the backyard path split and keeled over in the tremendous wind gusts from last night's line of thunderstorms. We had just been out maybe 10 minutes before this to put down the patio umbrella. 😳 Fortunately, there was no other damage. #BirdPorch
