Photograph taken of a pair of ferruginous hawks (I think) sitting, one behind the other, on a thick wooden branch at a wild bird rescue centre. The green moss on the branch provides a lovely colour contrast with their sunflower-yellow feet and chestnut wings. Spent a fascinating day out at Turbary Woods Owl & Bird of Prey Sanctuary in Lancashire. Lots of birds flying, information to learn and care given to the birds by the volunteers. It's a non-profit and run by volunteers so if you're in the area, check out www.turbarywood.co.uk
