Barend van Gemerden @BirdLife_News recently fell in love with this Eurasian Curlew feeding on lugworms in the Dollard, Dutch part of the Wadden Sea #WorldHeritage Site, where the Ems flows in. I don't blame him. Sadly too late for #worldcurlewday.

Here is the sound of several dozen Whooper Swans settling to roost for the night at Hockwold Washes adjacent to @RSPBLakenheath Fen, and a chatty family of Mute Swans a bit closer. Tomorrow it is #WorldWetlandsDay.

Day 3 of @unep_aewa Technical Committee meeting & in #NumberFinchSppIn1Frame in our garden, the Ground (score 5) is in the lead over the Feeder (score 3).
Plus 8 Tree Sparrows in one frame including a ringed one.
Sadly cos on @gotomeeting, no Czechia field trip.
