I already knew there would be lots of clips with the hated #grackle - but this one stood out.

My concern was the larger grackle would scare off all the other birds - but the #mourningdove was not about to give up a prime spot. 😅

Even in the grip of lingering cold (-16c last night), migratory #birds are returning. Red-winged Blackbirds appeared at the #birdfeeder this morning. Bold and beautiful. Their arrival feels like a promise, and I eagerly await warmer days when goldfinches and hummingbirds will arrive.
