Unbeknownst to her companions, her power and prowess comes from her true form as a dragon, and her immense stores of aether allowing her to unleash said power. For the majority of the early MSQ, Belle stands by her best friends side, believing this to be true, and acting as her retainer.

The background shows the aftermath of the attack on Belle's village, corpses piled up, with both bandits and villagers alike, before the pair organise funeral rites.
