Blacktip Reef Shark (Carcharhinus melanopterus), one of the most common shark around the coastal and coral waters in Indian and Pacific Ocean. Not to be confused with the slightly larger Blacktip Shark (Carcharhinus limbatus). A relatively small shark at 1.5m, Blacktip Reef Shark tend to be more timid, skittish and shy compared to larger, bolder and aggressive Grey Reef Shark (Carcharhinus amblyrhynchos) which occupied similar niches.
If anyone asked me why I love sharks, I'll show them this photo of Blacktip Reef Shark. Gorgeous, is it not?
