State officials release names of 104 NC Helene victims For months, the public has relied mainly on individual reports of loved ones killed by Hurricane Helene in North Carolina but state officials now have released their official record.

To anyone beyond #WNC this list won’t hit hard. But to many of us here it does, especially when you know people on it.

Per #blueridgepublicradio “There are victims not included in state's official count if they lived in NC but their body was recovered in another state.”
