#ArmyOfTheDead - less a supernatural thriller, more a zombie bank-heist. Over-long, over-stuffed, and fairly run-of-the-mill. Past some time, but other than that... #BluskiMovieRevu
'Not Another Cabin in the Woods Movie' - not funny, not scary, not interesting. 75 minutes of tedious trash which felt much longer. Apparently a re-edit of an earlier movie, which must have been equally rubbish.

'The Royal Hotel' - movie that didn't seem to say anything new. "Remote rural locations populated by working men, with heavy booze dependency aren't the safest places for young women to work behind the bar" - something we already knew. Well acted, and realistic, but a bit 'meh'.

#EenieMeanie starts as a comedy crime caper, then becomes a heist movie, then a getaway, then a romance, then a character study. An odd, strange tone movie. Entertaining and interesting, but just ... weird really. Felt like an indie movie but with money and a cast.

#KillCommand - quite okay until a weak final third. Mostly sensible character actions, and I've seen far worse.

#Extraction2 - more of the same, but the 21-minute one-shot was genuinely dazzling, although maybe that's too long, and too involved to genuinely enjoy, beyond the whole thrill of it. Hemsworth toning down his natural charm is a choice.

#M3gan2.0 - as entertaining, or slightly moreso, than its predecessor. A fun time - bonkers, but harmless, and didn't outstay its welcome.

#Sinners - not quite the film I expected it to be. Great music, but messy and not sure what it was. And a movie should know when to end, not do it 2 or 3 times, for no apparent reason.

'Happy Death Day' - a darker Groundhog Day with a very personable central performance by Jessica Rothe. Enjoyable, and a Scott Lobdell script for those of an age.
#BluskiMovieRevu.
#FinalDesinationBloodlines - there's possibly a nicer and better film involving just the family drama, but after halftime it becomes a standard Final Destination entry, without much originality. Which is a pity. Nice to see Brec Bassinger though.
Entertaining enough.

Ash - quite a decent, claustrophobic sci-fi, slightly reminiscent of Event Horizon. Final third was weak, but it held the attention, even though a lot was dimly lit (as is the way often).
Seen worse. Yes - stick that on the posters. #AmazonVideo

'Becky' was an okay distraction movie; 'Wrath of Becky' ... just who thought this was worth making? Thought it was much smarter and funnier than it was.

'The Ballad of Wallis Island' - could have been a cloyingly twee rom-com, but was in fact a lovely, warm, hug of a film, with an excellent nuanced performance by Tim Key at the heart. Only one scene felt out of place. Overall very good.
