A game of Black Forest from above. In the center is the main board for worker placement with five towns, each with three to four traders. There are three side boards for the available buildings, which can change slightly each game. Each player has two resource wheels which divide the eight resources into basic and derived resources, and cause basic resources to convert into derived resources. Each player also has a domain of one or more boards, holding buildings, terrain, and livestock. I liked the game on the first play, but I think a lot of the complication is in the available buildings. And I think you need to get to know the buildings before you really understand the game.
Played my first game of the #BlackForest #boargame last night. It takes a lot of space (I had to stand on a chair to get the picture),set up is long, and it's a long game (the store closed before we finished). But it seems really interesting. I like the resource wheels and the worker placement.
