Another special order tracked down for me by the resourceful #BolenBooks, I should add.

T. Kingfisher's new book, Snake-Eater, sits on a fuzzy yellow blanket. The cover background is coral shading to purple at the top, and features a pointy-beaked bird with a crest (a bit like a roadrunner?) with an alarmed and annoyed snake being squeezed. The snake has its fangs extended. The bird has speckles of light like stars in the blue-pink band of unfeathered skin beside its eye, and stars echo in the sky behind the two creatures and in the mouth of the snake.

I love when pre-ordered books surprise me at the end of a sodden, cold, exhausting week! 🐸
