One of the things my father and I shared was a love of fantasy literature. 🐉📖
He introduced me to my first favorite author, Anne McCaffrey.
Some of our favorites:
🗡️ Anne McCaffrey
🗡️ J.R.R. Tolkien
🗡️ Terry Brooks
🗡️ Tad Williams

There was something quietly magical about signing your name, sliding the card back in, and carrying a story home. 📚🖊️

What’s your earliest or fondest memory of reading? For me, it was spotting my parents’ shelf of books and—purely by chance—picking out The Hobbit.

Black and white cover of Bloke Modisane's "Blame me on history". The image showing rubble on the streets of Sophiatown after its destruction.
Bought this during a London trip with our English major class, in 2002 I think 🙃 It deeply affected me.
Found it in the seemingly oldest and most cramped second hand book store ever (like ever!) around Camden Lock Market (I believe).
What's your #bookmemories ? Would love to hear about them!
Beautiful. It makes me think of Anne of Green Gables. #bookmemories
