My mom was distributing Dem campaign stuff in ‘60s wearing a suit, heels, gloves & a freaking hat because it was important for other “neighbors” to see that people “just like her” who were protesting Vietnam War.

Also wore ⬆️⬆️⬆️ when she took me to March on Washington
