An amber electric guitar in front of a small Fender amp. Dee turned all the way around this time and looked up at me with an unimpressed, arched brow. “You know what? You shouldn’t give him advice if you’re gonna be a pig.” I leaned closer, made a snorting piggy noise, and winked. “Stop getting insulted for no reason. I just mean, if they’d gone there, and she was this pissed at him, I would have known it’s his technique–“ I received a stinging smack in the side before she turned around and moved up in line with a huffy sigh. My grin was sure to land me in even more trouble, so I tried to tone it down as I got my lunch from the server and caught up with her. “All joking aside, I need your help with this, Dee-Dee. He’s hung up on her, genuinely. Talked my ear off for nearly two hours about her last night and what would normally get me back out of the doghouse, isn’t working with her. I’m asking for a leg up… Just a tiny Dee-sized one.” Gabe, she’s gonna fuckin’ ball tap you in a minute. Stop egging her on! I put on a serious look as she looked over her shoulder at me with an offended glare. “Please? Throw me a bone, eh?”
