(DX) At this point, I have no clue how much I draw this scene yet again. After dealing with the Meta-Knights, Kirby makes way to the final room of the Halberd, where Meta Knight awaits. Despite what Kirby has done, he is still an honorable knight so he leaves a sword for Kirby to pick up so they can duel, but he makes his attentions clear, he won’t just defeat Kirby, he will kill him so he will never ruin his plans ever again. But Kirby won’t stand down even with certain death in mind and he duels with Meta Knight for everyone who lives in Dream Land. Meta Knight is still using the color I give to him, but he is using his old design from the old Kirby games, which started in Kirby Super Star or Kirby Avalanche. Which also means the Master Sword is now different compared to the basic sword it was in Kirby’s Adventure. I already made a point for Sword Kirby back in Dyna Blade, so there isn’t much to say here. Now it’s time to escape before the Halberd crash!
(DX) With the Halberd fully destroyed and crashing down, Kirby gets a ride from a Wheelie and rides it to get out of the Halberd. However, Meta Knight will not allow Kirby to escape that easily and he’s so angry that he grows bat wings and chases Kirby & Wheelie down before they escape from the Halberd. I know Meta Knight’s wings are black and pink in the sprite but I am using the actual designs of the wings in this case, trying to have everything in one order. I am using a different red for Wheelie so it wouldn’t blend in to Kirby’s stubs. But with that, Meta Knight’s plans for war gets put into water as with the Halberd, with the day saved, Kirby & Wheelie goes away in the setting sun to return home. But Kirby’s days are not done yet as there is one more problem to deal with.
Once upon a time. Kirby and his pals were hanging out like any normal day, but something went wrong. For an odd reason, the Sun and Moon are fighting with each other, causing Day & Night to happen within the flash and it is messing with the good people in Dream Land. Kirby has no idea how to solve this. But a strange jester knows how to solve it. The jester is named Marx, and he suggests that he needs to ask Nova for help in this situation but there is a catch, to ask Nova, they need to gather power from all of the stars around them. With that info, Kirby goes to the Fountain of Dreams to wish for a Warp Star and Kirby heads off to another adventure and to stop the Sun and the Moon from stopping fighting. But Kirby will not expect a twist of events that will happen. The Waddle Dee that ya see here is a different color, that’s because before the Waddle Dee got redesigned to their orange and yellow color as we see now, Waddle Dees used to be a lot of colors, with official artwork usually making them orange-red and dark blue eyes, and different shade of orange. Which is represented with this art. Poppy Bros Jr has different clothes compared to their usual blue and yellow stubs that they have to this day, That’s because they appear with yellow outfit and pink-ish stubs in both the sprite and official artwork, so to keep that in, I designed Poppy Bros Jr to be matching with the design, but I still kept the modern eyes of Poppy Bros Jr and no the triangle eyes. Man I haven’t drawn BRONTO BURT in a long time huh? Well now BRONTO BURT is back in action! I used the artwork for BRONTO BURT in Kirby Super Star to make it accurate. Unlike the others, I don’t have much to say about BRONTO BURT but glad to see good ol’ BRONTO BURT again. Obviously, Marx's first debut in Kirby Super Star, so naturally, I drew him. I still kept his main skin color from Kirby Air Riders, however, the only thing I changed about Marx was his shoes. And that’s about it.
(Triple DX) Yes I did this fight again, and it took a long while for it to be completed. After putting a stop to Galactic Nova by destroying the cores and its heart. Kirby, now wanting some pay back, lands on the battlefield to fight against Marx. Who is not only in his True Form but teleports to start the fight as well. Selecting an ability to use, Kirby decided to become Mirror Kirby to help him in this fight. While Marx wants to end Kirby but not before playing with him in his twisted way. I always draw True Marx big, no clue why but I feel like it’s more intimidating that way. True Marx’s wings are golden again just like how I used to draw them before his reveal being a Rider in Kirby Air Riders. And black lines around his eyes like official artwork of True Marx from Kirby Super Star. Yet again, I drew Mirror Kirby once more but more properly. Kirby’s pink color goes a bit lighter than normal, it’s to match how Kirby’s color changes with the Mirror Ability, albeit in Kirby Super Star Ultra but if I am using Wham Bam Rock’s design from Kirby Super Star Ultra, why not use that as well. And also it fits how Marx in a lot of ways, is a twisted reflection (pun entirely intended) of Kirby, and how Mirror Kirby’s old design happened to share some design elements from Marx. It’s quite interesting. After a thought battle, Kirby sends Marx flying straight to Galactic Nova, killing both of them and Kirby heads to his planet to take a huge nap. A job well done. But after the planet is almost destroyed, it would be nice to play some games in the meantime. (To be continued)
