Thus, I was very happy about the #ESPPUpdate as it really has all the tools in place to look into this.
Experimental confirmation will change the way how we think about #BroutEnglertHiggs physics, and how we search for its origin.
The LHC, or possible the HL-LHC, should be able to do so, e.g. with the @CMSExperiment which we took as our test case in the paper.
This is a genuine new insight into how the #BroutEnglertHiggs effect works, and pure standard model. This is a guaranteed big step forward.
The days just keeps getting better. Also another project of mine on #BroutEnglertHiggs beyond the standard model has been approved by @FWF_at 😀
Watch this space for a few job openings for PhD students in the next time.
I have published a new blog entry in which I describe what I did in my new paper on #quantumgravity, and how it relates to my research in #BroutEnglertHiggs physics: axelmaas.blogspot.com/2019/08/making-connectio... #np3
Meet me again this week, and the beginning of next week, @UniHeidelberg - among other things I will give a talk on our work on #BroutEnglertHiggs physics in the "Teilchentee" on Thursday afternoon #np3
You can meet me next week, until Thursday, @UniHeidelberg. From noon on Thursday until Friday I will be then at @jlugiessen, where I will give a talk on our research in #BroutEnglertHiggs physics Thursday late afternoon.
Welcome Franziska Reiner, who will do a bachelor thesis with me on #BroutEnglertHiggs physics at #LHC - http://physik.uni-graz.at/~axm/scientists.html #np3
On my way to Vienna to the Central European Seminar, a 2-day workshop where I was invited to present our insights on #BroutEnglertHiggs physics and the role of symmetries, see https://x.com/axelmaas/status/1067858969442639872?s=19
I have published a new blog entry on our progress to test our more dramatic ideas on #BroutEnglertHiggs physics using results from ongoing experiments: axelmaas.blogspot.com/2018/10/looking-for-some... #np3
I have updated my review on the foundations of #BroutEnglertHiggs physics at https://arxiv.org/abs/1712.04721 - most importantly, I added a FAQ, as I noted that the background is to many unfamiliar, and very often the same questions arise #np3
We have published a preliminary study on how phenomenology based on the field theory of #BroutEnglertHiggs physics, improving on standard methods, would work, see https://arxiv.org/abs/1806.11373
Still a toy theory, but the (qualitative!) differences are remarkable #np3
I have published a new blog entry on what we are currently aiming at to confirm our ideas on #BroutEnglertHiggs physics in actual experiments, and why this challenging. See axelmaas.blogspot.com/2018/06/how-to-test-idea... #np3
Welcome Simon Fernbach, who will do a master thesis with me on searching for signatures of field-theoretical aspects of #BroutEnglertHiggs physics in experiment, especially in top-anttitop+W/Z #np3
Beautiful day to travel to @IIHE_BXL to give tomorrow a talk on our research on #BroutEnglertHiggs physics #np3
If one would use the methods recommended by textbooks for this type of theory, they would be nonsensical in the plot, much less quantitatively right. Why this is so is explained in my review on #BroutEnglertHiggs physics https://arxiv.org/abs/1712.04721
Congratulations to Pascal Törek, who successfully defended his PhD on #BroutEnglertHiggs physics today! #np3
It is an interesting experience that many of the fundamental points on #BroutEnglertHiggs physics, which I reviewed in https://arxiv.org/abs/1712.04721 , are better known in philosophy of science and mathematics, see e.g. https://arxiv.org/abs/1801.00678 , than in particle physics...
My review on #BroutEnglertHiggs physics is finally complete and can be downloaded from https://arxiv.org/abs/1712.04721 - all the details on how one gets from the underlying field theory to experimental predictions, and no subtlety spared
You can watch videos of my lectures on #BroutEnglertHiggs physics @CP3Origins at http://cp3-origins.dk/video/181470002 and http://cp3-origins.dk/video/181490002
You can download the slides of the lectures I gave @CP3Origins last week on #BroutEnglertHiggs physics from http://physik.uni-graz.at/~axm/talks.html
I have published a new blog entry on the final stages of the review I am writing on #BroutEnglertHiggs physics at axelmaas.blogspot.dk/2017/11/reaching-closure... - what I learned during writing it and how I tried to ensure its quality - and only two more...
Meet me next week @CP3Origins where I will lecture on #BroutEnglertHiggs physics during their winter school on lattice gauge theory
Meet me tomorrow at the University of Swansea/UK, where I will give a talk on #BroutEnglertHiggs physics and can meet @SwanseaPPCTh in person
