Did you wonder why Reeves didn't tax the wealthy, going after benefit claimants, disabled, ill and youngsters instead, wants to deregulate the City, won't stop selling arms to Israel and is in now in love with #BlackRock

Non-profit providers like us HAVE to pass the the tax rise to local authorities who HAVE to provide care. We need funding from government, so we've joined social care providers to write to the Chancellor.

Guessing the impact on universities might wake up more Labour supporters than all the small businesses facing closure #Budget24
Sadly, job losses were inevitable after the hike in Employers’ NI. So much for safeguarding the “working man”. #budget24 #reeves #labour
Retailers are saying the #Budget24 will cost them £7billion, what they are saying is they want £7billion of our money to not go to the sort services we rely on @lbc.co.uk
Big Q now is, “Is this an outlier?”Especially in light of the brutal change to the NI threshold in #Budget24 and the upcoming regulatory costs of the Employment Rights Bill. We’ll see next month. Underlying demand is there - but govt needs to back biz and talk the UK up! (2/2)
The UK ten-year yield is 4.54% this morning as the pressure remains on Chancellor Rachel Reeves after #Budget24
UK ten-year yield rises to 4.6% Klaxon.
#Budget24 has not gone down well.
UK ten-year yield is back above 4.5% Klaxon.
In fact the 4.55% of tonight may be the highest closing yield since Chancellor Rachel Reeves #Budget24
The post #Budget24 issues with UK bond yields are remaining elevated but calm so far this morning with our ten-year yield at 4.49%.
Today's UK bond market update is that our ten-year yield remains elevated at 4.56% but is no worse than yesterday. #Budget24

For those who missed the premiere of our #Angelarayner delivering her #Budget24 recap. You'll be pleased to know she's now out of the bunker & staying over at her mate's apartment (it's all above board, she's declared it). x.com/intel_lady/s...
The number of the week was the UK ten-year yield which closed at 4.45%. That was some 0.2% higher than it was pre #Budget24 from Chancellor Rachel Reeves.
It was not as bad as the worst level when it reached 4.55% as the bond market was hit hard at one point.

A bourgeois, nationalist, fascistic government of staggering ignorance and arrogance plans to strip hundreds of thousands of disabled people of our means to live in order to fund a means to mass death via total war. thecanary.co/uk/news/2024...

The UK government bond market is back under pressure this morning with the ten-year yield rising to 4.54% continuing its poor performance after #Budget24
Labour’s first budget for 15 years has failed to do enough to address the “systemic challenges” faced by disabled people across society, user-led organisations have warned the Treasury.

Another impact of the UK Budget has been on mortgage rates. I use the five-year yield as a leading indicator and it rose by 0.2% so higher mortgage rates can be expected.
The Chancellor should speak to Rachel Reeves who used to describe this as "crashing the economy" #Budget24

Labour will be pleased they managed to just about buy off The Sun with the fuel duty freeze.
Pressure remains on the UK government bond market with the futures contract down 2 points on pre #Budget24 levels earlier. With the UK ten-year yield at 4.44% we are in territory described by Rachel Reeves as "crashing the economy"
