Coming to a close on my (probably 5th/6th) #BuffyTVS rewatch and I still gotta say... disappointed with how it wrapped up. The sudden jump in pacing in the last 3 episodes, the multiple Deux Ex elements (scythe, amulet), the terrible plan they have in the last episode.... it's unsatisfying.

Apparently (according to James Marsters), if 'FIREFLY' hadn't been canceled, Whedon was going to have 'Spike' make an appearance on the show in a weird crossover moment. Imagine that scene. Immortal vampire in space? YES PLEASE !! 😅

We are starting Buffy: The Vampire Slayer with the twins.

Got to S1:E4 "Teacher's Pet" yesterday, which is a ridiculous episode. I do remember the final shot paying off for a great callback joke later. Kids can now add she-mantises to their anxiety list.
