A Book of Cookrye (1591): 'Tart with a cover'. Used #bullace. The recipe asks for the fruit to be used whole but this seemed a rather inconvenient way to eat it! Put it to the test and made a small tart to assess just how annoying it would be. Advice: best consumed in the garden. 😂
