If I only had a dollar
For every mile I've travelled.
If memories were money
I'd fill a bank or two.

Of the people old and young there, of the stories oft repeated
or told once and then forgotten, stored in the sands of memories
to surface when the wind blows, a smell or taste that triggers
a sense of lost tomorrow’s or forgotten yesterdays.

From the old and Dusty station
to the tropical plantation
from beneath harsh city street lights
to a frozen outback moon nights-

Lost Tomorrows, Forgotten Yesterdays

If I only had a dollar for every mile I’ve travelled
If memories were money I’d fill a bank or two
No book of ink and paper holds the stories I’ve forgotten
of the people that I’ve met as I travelled through this land.
