My hand holding a jar of Tandoori Chutney made by Saltspring Kitchen Co (displayed in front of some blankets for no apparent reason). The company is from Saltspring Island BC (which is a 15 min ferry ride from Vancouver Island). All my local grocery stores stock their stuff, and I have yet to try one of their offerings that I haven't enjoyed, even their Blueberry-Basil jam that I was a bit dubious about turned out to be great on bagels, esp with a bit of mozzarella toasted on top. Highly recommend their products!
One of the effects of the tarriff debacle is many familiar condiments have been replaced by Canadian options, so far always better. Just tried this chutney, it's excellent. The same company makes a carmelized onion and thyme spread, and a habanero-raspberry jam that are both stellar. #BuyBC #Canada
