For those following the #FlorenceGirard inquest in BC it was absolutely shocking to watch #GlobalBC story yesterday and hear a #CLBC VP say that without them institutionalization for people with complex behaviours will return.

Speaking on CBC’s On the Coast today Paul Finch, president of @bcgeu.bsky.social says members have described a toxic culture + lack of oversight at CLBC and passed a resolution at last year’s convention mandating the union to campaign to move CLBC back into government. #bcpoli #bcgeu #clbc

I protested the creation of #CLBC & was targeted, now that I'm receiving funding for both my son's from #CLBC, I put myself at risk of loosing funding, but I can't stand by & not do anything; who is going to watch out for my boys when they don't have me to look out for them.
#CLBC needs to be dispanded, the board needs to be fired and we need to create a system that values human life.
