And John Swannick from the Cricket Club Development Network presented the results of a member survey, highlighting both successes (playing numbers; growth of women's & girls sections) & concerns (facilities, funding, recruitment of new volunteers). #CRN2025

Facilities, teachers’ confidence to deliver effective coaching & lack of engagement with cricket clubs or private schools were identified as contributing factors. #CRN2025

Andrew Scattergood's research in “northern, working class” schools (defined by geography & uptake of Free School Meals) highlighted pockets of good practice (term time practice; playing hard ball cricket against other schools) but also areas with little / no engagement. #CRN2025
