I was shocked to hear it was built in 1994! Inside is a collection of murals documenting the rail history of Roseville, which is home to the largest rail yard in California.

I have seen five fireworks shows while crossing Utah on the train tonight. also apparently red white and blue Christmas lights are a thing on 4th of July. also every little town has a beautiful clean train platform, looks like great public transit.

I’m both glad that I can't see their butts and glad that the tradition which gives this part of the river of the Moon River nickname hasn't gone away in the ~25 years since I last took this trip.
