This is a color landscape photograph of a sunrise over the Main Street in Canon City Colorado. There is a two story brick building in the foreground on the left likely from the turn of the 20th century. In fact, all the visible buildings seem to originate in the early history of the town. The building on the left has a color mural painted on the bricks of what appears to be an old west rendition of the same street. There is a large tree in front of the building. Across the street are similarly styled buildings. one is a Tailored West fashion store and the other a restaurant or bar. Just cresting over the building is the starburst of the sun brightening the white clouds near it into a golden yellow. As the clouds move up the frame they go from yellow to whiter under a gorgeous light blue sky. The golden light bathes all the buildings in it's glow.
I'm headed off to Crested Butte in the morning so I am posting my #Stunday submission early. This #sunrise shot is from #CanonCity #Colorado.
