A pale grey rock sits on a black sand beach. The sand looks brown in the sunlight and there are patterns around the rock that remind me of the frilly bits on an axolotl's head and the rock looks a bit like a face.
My biology teacher at secondary school had an albinistic axolotl in a tank in her classroom - it was the cutest thing.
Anyway, this rock/sand combination on a beach in south-east #Iceland reminded me of the weird little thing! From March 2026.

Lots of tree trunks with no leaves, but some spindly branches. Below is a carpet of bluebells, not at its peak yet. The sun is casting a golden glow on the distance branches and some of the bluebells and brambles.

An enormous wave crashed with huge amounts of white spray thrown up in the air. Peachy sky beyond.
Parts of the ring road were closed today - winds recorded of 57.5m/s (128 mph/207kpmh) - yikes! Got some amazing massive crashing waves this afternoon at Eyrsti-Fellsfjara beach at Jökulsárlón. Apart from the sand whipping me from behind, I was in heaven!
