A hermit thrush on the ground. The bird is standing in dirt next to a green plant. There are several pockets of green plants/growth scattered around the picture with brown dirt between them. There is the end of a board at the top center. The thrush is just barely right of center in the photo, looking to the right. Its feathers and head are brown and the long tail looks orange. Its chest is white with brown streaking. It has a black eye with a white eye ring and a short stout beak.
