In 1980, fundraising began to convert a former car show room into Grimsby's present #CaxtonTheatre. In 1969, #PatrickWymark had handed his fee for narrating a local event back to the organisers, "to benefit drama". In 1980, the invested £100 was handed to the Caxtons fund.
