Golden Age, mixed media on canvas. Homage to the lions that roamed Ancient Greece, the Aegean, Mycenaean culture had statues of them. Textured with clay and Ancient Greek alphabet carved into the plaster. Fresco with mosaic stencilling.

Lion is peaking through the mosaic, turquoise, blue greens were the dominant colours to compliment the sun yellows.

68 was finished with oils, went back and gave some more depth and texture to the deep blue and green then added pops of orange around the neck to tie into the marquis pattern

Temple Prayer, weaving mythology and symbolism. The peacock has been strongly associated with the goddess Hera in Mythology. All seeing, guardian, sacred protector, prosperity and rebirth. The dove is the universal symbol of peace. Time pieces hidden in the painting as well as a calligraphy pen, ink vessel and candle at the base of the statue.

The Mystic, mixed media on cradled board. Hare at a magical keyhole. I wanted a more stylized animal, gold leaf reflecting when the light hits. A bit more unexpected drawing you in from a distance. I kept standing far away to see if the layers and colours reminded me of space, vortex, keyhole to another dimension. Yes the carrot sigil is still there. Trippy I know and no I wasn’t stoned or drunk 😂
