I loved this story which was suspenseful, tender, and full of crackling chemistry, this was a heartfelt bodyguard romance with just the right amount of danger and vulnerability. This book delivers everything I love about the bodyguard‑celebrity trope: danger, forced proximity, and a slow‑burn connection that sneaks up on both characters. Lewis is the perfect brooding protector — calm, controlled, and determined to keep his distance — while Alex is a messy, vulnerable pop star whose life has spiralled far beyond the glitter of fame. Their dynamic is electric from the start. The tension ramps up beautifully as threats close in, pushing them to a remote Scottish island where the isolation strips away their defences. Watching Lewis struggle between duty and desire, and Alex slowly reveal the hurt beneath the attitude, gives the romance real emotional weight. This was an MM story with mature content.
