I did investigate whether you could search the local news archive to actually count mentions but I couldn't see a way to do it from outside the BBC. #Chairfolk

... I then started recording (I know) the London news and there was never any mention of Wycombe on there either. What can #Chairfolk do about getting some local news coverage? @chapmanio.dev @chairboys.co.uk @w2aps.bsky.social @thegibbon.bsky.social

'We expect it to be equal' - Ex-Wanderers director slams BBC over lack of TV coverage A former Wycombe Wanderers director has criticised the BBC for its lack of television coverage of the club and the town.

#Chairfolk It's nice to see this getting a bit of coverage in the local press www.bucksfreepress.co.uk/highwycombe/.... A couple of years ago I emailed BBC local news to ask why Wycombe never got covered and they told me we were part of the London region...

So back to it for @wwfc.com away @ntfc.bsky.social. As with every match for #Chairboys now it's must win to make anything of this season. The biggest thing I'll be looking out for is who is back from injury. And who Duff trusts to fill the gaps. #Chairfolk ๐Ÿ’™

I am writing to Wycombe Wanderers Football Club, as supporter of over 40 years and a season ticket holder for 25 years, to ask the club to consider whether it is appropriate to continue to maintain an active presence on the X social media platform in its current guise.
As I am sure you are aware there have been many stories in the news in recent months regarding high profile X accounts openly promoting racism, calling for the removal of democratically elected UK politicians, and promoting a violent global far-right agenda. Any of these should be enough to make any organization question their ongoing engagement with the platform.
However, as a parent, husband, and son I have been disgusted by the recent news that the grok AI function in X has allowed users to create violent non-consensual sexual imagery of women and children.
I do not see how continuing to maintain an active presence on X aligns with the clubโ€™s policies regarding Safeguarding and Equality, Diversity and Inclusion or its stated community engagement goals.
I am proud to be a supporter of Wycombe Wanderers, a family club with a strong community involvement. That same community, in the form of the supporters trust, enabled the club to keep operating during difficult times.
I know how hard the club has worked to build a successful and engaging social media profile with Twitter being a huge part of that success. But the X today is not what Twitter of the past was. I now call upon the club to stop actively posting on X.
I know that the majority of UK football clubs maintain an X presence and I understand that making a change would be difficult but I am asking the club to show leadership to move away from X.
Every societal change requires someone to take the first step, I am asking Wycombe Wanderers to be one of those pioneers and take this positive step for your fans, your community, your children, your family, and your friends.
I look forward to a response on the clubs intentions regarding their X presence

I've written a letter (email) to Wycombe Wanderers @wwfc.com this afternoon to ask them to consider whether continuing to use X is appropriate for the club. See pic. #chairboys #wwfc #chairfolk #getoffx

Superb, thank you!

I do try to tag the official account in as much as sensible so they can see they have interaction and interest even if they don't have the current resources to respond. ๐Ÿ˜ #Chairboys ๐Ÿ’™ #Chairfolk @wwfc.com (hoping they get an amalgamation app that handles @bsky.app properly soon).

Bon chance fellow #chairfolk heading to Adams Park. I have deployed further layers today in the forlorn hope of not being frozen by half time! Also hoping for a pre-match unveiling of a couple of new signings. #wwfc @wwfc.com #chairboys
