I recently visited a friend in San Diego and was able to visit Chicano Park. It warms my heart to see my culture on display with such beauty.

According to the museum caption, Ramsés Noriega created this announcement for a 1976 rally in Los Angeles featuring speakers Bishop Juan Alfredo Arzube and Congressman Edward Roybal. The artist used his own green card as the format to announce this event at the Embassy Auditorium.

Took a quick trip down to San Diego yesterday for a meeting/tour of the Chicano Park Museum & Cultural Center. A few photos from the visit, including one from the current exhibit featuring #Chicano artist Ramsés Noriega. chicanoparkmuseum.org

Pics from my adventures the other day. Met some really cool people/groups in Chicano Park. The street art is obviously top-tier. Some folks just get it.

This image captures a vibrant outdoor mural painted on large concrete pillars, likely under a bridge or overpass. The murals depict intricate and colorful artwork reflecting cultural, historical, and social themes. They include portraits, symbols, and text celebrating identity, community, and activism, with phrases like “Brown Power” and imagery of influential figures and symbolic designs.

The setting appears to be a park or community space, with trees, a playground, and a person in dark clothing standing nearby, observing the artwork. The light and shadow interplay enhances the visual impact of the scene, emphasizing the richness of the murals. This appears to be a space celebrating cultural heritage and resilience.

Tucked beneath the #SanDiego Coronado Bridge in #BarrioLogan exists a cultural monument, #ChicanoPark. Home to multi-general #Chicano , #Mexican, and Mexican-American families, Chicano Park protects a history of famous artists and pushes a revival of a new muralists and artists. #art #mural
