This is a screenshot of a video from the Chinese video platform Bilibili and this video is talking about how human used to use their body part as basic unit to measure the world. There is a scene in the video showing the famous drawing, Vitruvian Man, by Da Vinci, but the nudity of drawing has been masked. The Vitruvian Man is a masterpiece of the Renaissance art, showcaising great artisitic and scientific value. However, it seems that the nudity of this drawing has been percived as "not acceptable" by Chinese netizens even on Bilibili, which is the most popular video platform for young people. The tricky part is that I don't know if the content creator do this just to pass the content check from the platform, or they themselves think the drawing is "inapproriate", which is even worse. It's a pity that the process of social conservatisation is happening, and it's on a clearly accelarating trend.

It seems that Chinese society is getting more conservative, despite of the fact that its economy and financial market is trying to further open up. 😔
