Across Europe, migrant women drive the care sector yet remain undervalued. Thus, true gender equality also means valuing the care sector, as well as encouraging more men to enter the field.
The closing session of #CivSocWeek brought the @europarl.europa.eu, @ec.europa.eu, & @eesc.bsky.social together with one shared mission: Europe must act collectively to empower CSOs as key defenders of value-driven, resilient democracies.

After a plenary session full of hope, our session dived into the topic of 'Educating citizens for resilient societies', where we explore the need to revive citizenship education - in all learning environments.
The European Citizens’ Initiative is one of the instruments that allows citizens to place an issue directly on the EU agenda. Participatory democracy must not remain symbolic — it must lead to response and accountability.🙌 Strong support for #ECIDay and for an active European civic space

Yesterday at Civil Society Week, I participated in a World Café on social cohesion. One message was clear: trust is the backbone of democratic resilience. Without structured dialogue and protection of civic space, cohesion weakens. Encouraging to see concrete ideas on the table.
