In today’s America, there’s no middle ground anymore. Yesterday, I — a proud, gay activist with trans family members — was labeled a transphobe simply for having a nuanced opinion about trans athletes and transitioning timelines. Instead of discussion, the immediate reaction was to attack.
Even Governor Gavin Newsom has faced backlash from the extreme left for daring to agree with Charlie Kirk on certain issues. If you don’t agree 100% with a group, you’re branded as the enemy. That’s not dialogue, that’s division.
