"The Clocktower Gargoyles, descendants of the Alpine Gargoyles, are very sturdy dragons well adapted for small and medium mountain environments. They can withstand high mountain during the warm season but not for extended periods of time during winter. In modern days, their unique set of skills and adaptations naturally attracted a portion of them to take on mountain rescue jobs.

They may be slower than a helicopter but they can fly much higher and in dire weather, allowing greater opportunities to rescue endangered humans and dragons alike. Usually operating in a team of four or five dragons, they bring with them only two human rescuers, sometimes a dog, but dogs are most often superfluous as Gargoyles have a good enough sense of smell in most cases and much bigger paws with which they can dig at a much quicker pace.

Loved by the general population for a very long time as village and livestock guardians, the Clocktower Gargoyles haven't lost their position as one of the top dragon breeds in last year's poll."
