Premiere of “Ocean State: Rhode Island’s Wild Coast” Nature Documentary Series
Ocean State Media is premiering a new locally focused nature documentary series, **“Ocean State: Rhode Island’s Wild Coast,”** which highlights Rhode Island’s coastline and the science and conservation work protecting it.[4] Episode One, **“Secrets of the Seagrass,”** debuts at 8 p.m. on WSBE and Ocean State Media, taking viewers underwater to explore vital eelgrass meadows—sometimes called the “nurseries of the sea”—and their role in supporting marine life, improving water quality, and bolstering coastal resilience.[4] The program features local scientists and conservation leaders, including efforts by Save the Bay and The Nature Conservancy, making it both an educational and community-centered look at the state’s marine habitats and climate resilience work.[4]
