A photo of a massive coastal redwood tree truck with me posing in front for scale. The tree trunk is 23.25 feet across! (7.0866 meters!) The ground at the base is covered in shed needles from the tree, which are a brilliant red. The trunk is furrowed in the upright direction, and dark at the base, with light browns mottled with green lichens and mosses higher. A plaque about 18 feet above the ground reads "Boy Scout Tree". I am wearing rain hiking gear and a wide brim hat, all in dark green and dark brown.
A friend caught me posing in front of one of the most massive coastal redwoods in Northern California! It's always a joy to see this grand tree. It's base is 23.25 feet across! (7.0866 meters) #EastCoastKin #ThickTrunkTuesday #coastalredwood #redwood #nature #hiking
