Hawks won't go away. MSG is popping every time the Knicks touch it but Atlanta doesn't care. I don't know if they can tie it up but they ain't scurred

Hawks should have tried to buy Okongwu a couple minutes of rest once they got Knicks to take out Robinson.
I just finished several weeks of basketball with people yelling, screaming, etc. at games — only to come home to my husband doing the same.
The man has every possible TV on in the house as he watches his beloved Hawks take on the Knicks.
I have not known peace since the game started.
That was a great read by Jalen Johnson, keeping his wits about him as the Knicks brought the late double and twisting to find Onyeka Okongwu for a catch-and-shoot 3 to beat the halftime buzzer. 57-55 Knicks at intermission — fun, competitive Game 1.
Feels like the Knicks should be up by more than 2 at the half. Don’t like that
Just a really fun first half of basketball so far.
The Knicks have shown flashes of the elite team they can be, while hitting a few, brief rough patches, and the Hawks have already overcome some adversity -- falling down as much as 11.

Coolest players to play for the Knicks and Hawks: a thread

Go Knicks.
Go Hawks! Fuck the Knicks!

Well we can add this one to the list, too lol.
Just an awful, awful transition possession for the Hawks while the Knicks were clearly in scramble mode.
END OF 1Q: Knicks 30, Hawks 24.
Jalen Brunson had 19 first-quarter points. Unreal stuff.
Hawks unraveled a bit there when Kuminga and Risacher came in.
Atlanta has rebounded well, though, and forced turnovers.
this Knicks-Hawks game is currently in a very concentrated ASS period. Real bad ball. Come on Fat Joe is there!
That last Knicks set — a Brunson-KAT pick-and-roll despite a wing (NAW) being on KAT, Brunson drawing two, kicking it back to KAT, hitting Hart on a paint cut, Hart one-touching to Bridges in the corner for 3 — is basically the platonic ideal of how this Knicks offense was supposed to look.
Knicks have been intentional with off ball actions and cuts early. Hawks have Okongwu on KAT. Hart screening for Brunson to get him on the move/shift Daniels. KAT's been able to force and over, Brunson has been open on late curls. Couple TO's but interesting.
My first-blush thoughts five minutes in: The Knicks and Hawks can both score pretty friggin' easily.
Damn, the start of this Knicks-Hawks game is amazing!
So the Knicks are fouling tf outta these folks and no calls smh
Y is shump dressed like the Men in Black???

Knicks just enough bigger, just enough deeper. And the lack of a real 1 and a real 5 on ATL is noticeable against a team like Knicks.
