I just finished several weeks of basketball with people yelling, screaming, etc. at games — only to come home to my husband doing the same.
The man has every possible TV on in the house as he watches his beloved Hawks take on the Knicks.
I have not known peace since the game started.

That was a great read by Jalen Johnson, keeping his wits about him as the Knicks brought the late double and twisting to find Onyeka Okongwu for a catch-and-shoot 3 to beat the halftime buzzer. 57-55 Knicks at intermission — fun, competitive Game 1.

Just a really fun first half of basketball so far.
The Knicks have shown flashes of the elite team they can be, while hitting a few, brief rough patches, and the Hawks have already overcome some adversity -- falling down as much as 11.

That last Knicks set — a Brunson-KAT pick-and-roll despite a wing (NAW) being on KAT, Brunson drawing two, kicking it back to KAT, hitting Hart on a paint cut, Hart one-touching to Bridges in the corner for 3 — is basically the platonic ideal of how this Knicks offense was supposed to look.

Knicks have been intentional with off ball actions and cuts early. Hawks have Okongwu on KAT. Hart screening for Brunson to get him on the move/shift Daniels. KAT's been able to force and over, Brunson has been open on late curls. Couple TO's but interesting.
