Surprise filing: Marquese “Skinny” Averett (HD140). Averett filed on Monday for Columbus City Council District 7, but Teddy Reese dropped out from HD140 to run for SD15.

Barring anyone booking it up I-185 atm, Averett may clinch the seat on a walk. 157/180. More to potentially come. #gapol #colga

I think that Teddy Reese (HD140) could run for Harbison’s SD15, and that Chris Kelly (who suspended his bid for City Council District 7 last week) could run for Reese’s seat. #colga #gapol

One person is filing as a Dem in my (red) HD next week, and another is allegedly filing in the (ruby red) district across the street.

I believe that Northeastern Muscogee and west Harris have never been contested by a Democrat since at least 1992.

Who knows. We’ll see next week. #gapol #colga
