Post: They said they came to educate us. If that was the lie. The real purpose of colonial education was... They said they came to educate us. If that was the lie. The real purpose of colonial education was to make Africans stop thinking for ourselves, to teach us how to serve, not how to lead, to learn everything except how to build from what we already have. That's why we walk on goal, beg for homes, We produce graduates, not refineries. They told us our herbs or witchcraft, our medicine, superstition. But now the same roots they mocked are being patented in labs in Europe. They erased our history. It made us worship their heroes and told us our ancestors were savages. They too taught us Shakespeare, but not Shaka, Zulu, Newton, but not him. Hotel Napoleon would not improve. We learned their wars, their gods, their greatness, but forgot our own. And when we spoke their language well, they called us educated. Real education liberates the mind. What they gave us was training, training to obey. And that's why even after independence, we still need steel bag. Still doubt ourselves. Now the veil is lifting. We are learning again to onboard because the future of Africa will not be built with borrowed minds. One Africa, one people together, we stand divided, we perish, share, believe, inspire blacks, be.
