But what we must constantly remind ourselves is that it is not enough to just talk about it; it is of utmost importance to put theory into practice. As communists, we set ourselves the goal of doing just that. And as communists, we also set ourselves the goal of looking beyond national borders. Not only to look at the German heritage of women fighters here in our country, but also to look internationally at the experiences of militant, revolutionary, but also bourgeois women's movements and organisations. Wherever fascism is rearing its head, wherever the contradictions of imperialism are growing ever greater, wherever the chains of imperialism are beginning to fray. Everywhere there, it is and has been our class sisters who have been driving forces in movements – with clout, with strength in proletarian and national liberation struggles, in civil wars, in revolutionary organisations and many more. The groups, organisations and women's movements that we want to look at during the cultural evening are therefore very diverse. As communists, we have varying degrees of affinity with them; there are certainly major ideological differences and very different revolutionary strategies between us and some of them, and some of the movements we present are also led and influenced by the bourgeoisie.
